Pumpkin Carving

With Todd in Shanghai, China our fall family traditions have changed. Instead of carving pumpkins at home, we did them at the Davis' to take advantage of the additional adult help.

The process was pretty smooth. The kids picked several templates online and I drew them on paper to fit the size of their pumpkins. Emilia chose a sea turtle, Carson a Minecraft creeper and Stella an Emoji princess.

Kylee, Sally's niece who is attending Westminister College helped gut the pumpkins and collected all of the seeds. I've never roasted pumpkin seeds before. We don't snack on seeds in our home, but I would like to try them.

The carving went pretty fast since the designs were relatively simple. After completing the project we took them home and lit them to see how they looked. We then set them on the porch for everyone else to admire!
