On Saturday, October 7th, we invited close family, neighbors and friends to join us for a celebration of Andrew's adoption.
We set it up as an open house so people could come and go according to the schedule (due to the short one week notice), and served ice-cream. Most everyone invited was able to attend - we had over 100 people stop by.
We have received so much support during the past couple of months from our neighbors and family who have watched the kids as we met last minute with out attorney to discuss new developments on the case. More intangible, and yet felt just as strong have been all of the prayers on our behalf. I get teared up every time I think of it. I felt strongly the mantle of protection and peace from the Lord during those last very stressful weeks. This celebration was our way of thanking everyone for all they have done to help.
Every guest was given a mint flavored pack of gum with a tag stating "Mint to be" and the date of the adoption 09.27.2017.
