Andrew's Adoption Hearing

After nearly a year, our adoption petition was presented to Judge Barry Lawrence. During the last week, my extended family has been diligently working to get all of the documents signed so that we could adopt Andrew.

What was going to be a trial hearing with witnesses bearing testimony and a judge having to make a determination, turned out to be an uncontested adoption. My mom and brother, who had planned to travel to Salt Lake to testify were able to instead be part of the adoption.

We also invited Todd's parents to be there on this wonderful celebratory day.

I am so grateful to our attorney, and especially family and friends who have supported us through this long process. We appreciate all of the prayers, fasts, babysitting, and other sacrifices they have made to help us as we pursued the adoption.
