Carson Kindergarten Graduation

Friday was Carson's last day of kindergaten. Woohoo!!!

For some crazy reason I offered to be the parent volunteer coordinator for his class this year. Like I don't already have a million other things on my plate! To be honest, I didn't know we would be taking care of Andrew at that point. So I counted on a lot more free time than what I actually ended up having. It all worked out in the end, but boy was I looking forward to the end of the school year.

Anyway, his class held a culminating show what you know activity followed by a reception for the kids and their families. Carson had two lines in the program. He talked about Teddy Rosevelt, "the 26th President of the United States. Also famously nick named Teddy Bear." and about house pets.

Carson had made several friends in class. Priscilla (navy shirt on the left) has been our carpool companion for the year. She is a sweet girl, and I've loved getting to know her during our rides to school.

Destry (blond kid in navy vest) is probably Carson's best friend at school. We called Carson, Destry and Eli the three musketeers. I am so used to having girls at the house, it's been fun to see the boys interacting during our play dates at the house. I hope they all get to be in the same class again next year.

Inspite of the fact that being an AST is a lot of work, Mrs. Martir (teacher) and Ms. Overson (instructors) have been wonderful to work with. They are great with the kids, and always so positive, encouraging and complimentary to the parents and their students. I have not once heard any of them say anything negative about anyone or anything. That's one of the things I love about APA. They have great staff and an awesome program.
