Stella received a wonderful blessing given to her by her dad. She was promised many things. Among them, she was blessed with health as she'll continue to grow as well as with a happy, loving and kind disposition towards her siblings and others. She was also blessed with compassion, a desire to serve, a keen mind and a sense of humor.
My favorite part was when Todd explained the meaning of Stella which is the word for star in Italian. Just like the travelers of old used to look towards the stars fixed in the firmament to determine where they were and direction they should travel, so should Stella be a beacon of Christ's light to others traveling in the darkness that they may see her light and be guided towards righteousness.
In the blessing she was encouraged to look forward in hope, to find good in all things and to remember that she is a daughter of Heavenly Father. He loves her and will bless her with all she stands in need of.
Stella is such a sweet child. We've already began to see some of these blessings in her life and ours.
