Stella is Three Months Old

My baby is three months old. It's hard for me to believe that she can get more beautiful everyday but it's true.

She is 'talking' a lot more. She smiles whenever we make eye contact and cooes when we talk to her. Her conversations are getting longer and longer. She is even starting to verbalize on her own without us prompting her.

She likes to have Carson and Emilia around. She is perfectly content laying on the rug or on her bouncer and watching them play near her. The moment they leave to go play in another room she begins to cry. Luckily the kids like playing with Stella as well. They love talking to her and getting her to smile and respond back.

Another great blessing is that she is sleeping longer stretches of time at night. Last night she fell asleep at 10:30 pm and didn't wake up again until 4 am. It was the best mother's day gift she could give me!

I'm convinced Stella is lactose intolerant. I stopped eating daily products for a month and noticed an improvement in her fussiness and overall digestive health. When Todd's parents came into town we bought a wonderful strawberry cheesecake. I just couldn't resist eating it. Shortly there after she began struggling again. So I'm back on my lactose free diet for a few more months.

She is still struggling with bowel movements partly because of the cheesecake and in part because of her immature digestive system. It's so sad to see her pouty face, crying in pain. To help her we've begun spiking her milk at night with an infant laxative. Hopefully it helps her.
