November

I feel like November just flew right by without me noticing it. We had a pretty busy month, between family visiting, Thanksgiving, getting ready for Carson's birthday, Christmas preparations and our regular commitments.

The highlight of the month was having Todd's mom, grandma and aunt Jana visit us for a few days during the middle part of the month. Todd was able to take time off work and spend time with the family doing things we don't normally do unless people come to visit.

In two days we visited the 6th Floor Museum, dedicated to commemorating Pres. John F. Kennedy's assassination and his legacy, the Fort Worth Stock Yards, the Fort Worth Water Gardens and the Dallas Arboretum.

The kids really enjoyed visiting the Dallas Arboretum. The paths along the grounds were lined with pumpkins and fall flowers. They had a special fairy tail theme with princess castles and even a Cinderella carriage for the kids to climb on.

On Saturday we traveled to San Marcos, TX and spent the weekend with the Stoddard's and their family. Todd's 88 year old grandma made the special trip to attend the baby blessing of her first great-great-grandchild. We enjoyed getting re-connected with his family down there and the kids loved playing with the family dogs.

Thanksgiving was a more relaxed affair. We were invited to celebrate the holiday with some friends from Church. I loved not having to cook or host. I got to relax and enjoy the day, it was so nice!
