There is this one receipt in my wallet that has been with me for almost a month. Every time I go to throw it away I remember I have scribbled Carson's 18 months stats on it and I shove it back into my purse thinking I'll get rid of it as soon as a blog about it.
Now that I finally have a couple of minutes to write, I can't seem to find it. Does that ever happen to you?
My big boy is growing bigger every day. At his check up he weighted 24.4 lbs and was 30 inches tall. He is close to the 50 percentile in weight and 75 percentile in height and as cute as ever. His vocabulary is growing as well. He can say:
- mom
- dad
- teeth
- peekaboo
- up/down
- hi/bye -bye
We've been swimming most days this summer and Carson absolutely loves it. He especially likes to jump into the water and make a big splash.
Emilia:
Emilia is my artist with a great imagination and lots of great ideas. She often comes up with a plan of what she wants to do and ends her story with "Isn't that a great idea momma?" Another other thing she says often when she doesn't want to do something is "That's too easy momma."
She loves to do crafts, bake, sing and dance. She has been taking swimming lessons and is getting a little more comfortable in the water. She gets around great on her own when she is wearing an inflatable ring around her but is still terrified of getting water on her face. She'll submerge her face up to her nose and make bubbles but doesn't want to get her whole face in the pool. I still hold up hope this is the year when she overcomes her fears.
She can write her whole name and enjoys writing letters and sounding them out.
