I learned something today because of Emilia. I didn't know that Hijab is the proper term for the head covering traditionally worn by Muslim women.Yesterday we went to a park near our house so Emilia could use up some of her never-ending energy on the playground. As we parked a van pulled up next to us with several women wearing hijabs.
When Emilia saw them through the window she exclaimed: "Look mama, lots of Mary!" I was glad we were all still sitting in the car because I could not hold in my laughter. She thought they were Mary the mother of Jesus.
