Pondering...

I recently got a little older... and hopefully a bit wiser. It's incredible how fast a year goes by and yet how much we still manage to learn along the way. I have learned a lot about being a mother, daughter, wife and friend.

As I was pondering what to write about this week I received an email from a friend back in Salt Lake whose wife just lost her battle against breast cancer. She is the second person that I've known personally who has lost her battle against this awful disease within the last 12 months.

The news really made me appreciate the blessing of human life even if sometimes brief. Reach out to your friends and family and let them know you love them.
