Todd cooked his first official turkey. It was a 20+ lbs bird. He did a great job. The meat was not dry and flavorful. He got the giblets out, but for the life of us we couldn't find where they had hid the neck until after it was all cooked. Oh well, it still tasted just fine.
In addition to a great meal, we enjoyed a fun evening of games among adults while the kids watched a movie in the theater room. It was a really fun afternoon and evening.
Thankfulness is something we try to focus on for the entire month of November. This year, we decided to decorate one of Carson's giant pumpkins by writing what we are thankful for each day. I thought sharpies would be a good solution but they would not stay on.
I'll have to think of something else for next fall.
