We held his super hero themed birthday party at Wardle Fields Park and Splash pad in Bluffdale. The weather was a little iffy at the beginning. Bluffdale is famous for their winds.
We had a pop up canopy we had brought for shade, but we had to hold it down at times because the wind was going to blow it across the park.
By the time everyone arrived, the weather had changed to sunny and hot and the wind died down. It was perfect for the kids who came expecting to play in the water.
It took some coaxing for Andrew to leave the familiar and venture out of my lap. Eventually he realized how much fun everyone else was having and he decided to change into his swimming suit and play in the water.
His birthday cake had his favorite character "batman". After blowing up the candle and eating the pizza and cupcakes, the kids returned to the water to wash up all of the blue frosting.
We gave each kid a mini squirt gun as a party favor. They were a popular game at the party.
In the end, the kids loved the splash pad so much that we ended up staying until the water turned off for the evening.
