I've been promising Stella that I would take her to see the witches at Gardener Village. This last week has been crazy busy cleaning up from our vacation and getting Halloween costumes ready by Friday, when the kids were invited to attend a kids party at the Pacini's house.
In addition to all that, Todd and I had tickets to see the Hale Center Theater production of Sister Act one evening- which was fabulous, by the way- parent teacher conference, a retirement dinner and stake auxiliary training another night.
Somehow I managed to carve out one hour during Thursday afternoon where the kids were done with their homework and we didn't have to rush anywhere. It was now or never, so I packed them all up in the car and we drove to Gardener's Village in West Jordan.
We got to see all of the witches, snap a few photos and even had time to try a caramel apple from the Chocolate Covered Wagon. We tried their best selling White Water Rapids made by dipping granny apples in caramel, white chocolate and rolling it in sugar and cinnamon mixture. It was delicious although a bit pricey $7.06 for an apple is steep in my opinion.
We have loved going to Gardener Village since before the kids were born and have made the Witches a tradition since 2012, when we moved back to Utah. I can't believe how much the kids have changed in four short years!
After our quick, fun and tasty detour we jumped in the car and rushed to our evening commitments.
