Tubing at Soldier Hollow

On Saturday Todd and the kids went tubing a Soldier Hollow, across the street from the Ice Castles while I attended a family birthday party with Andrew back in Salt Lake.

We made reservations for noon so they could enjoy the warmer part of the day. We've had so many cloudy and snowy days lately, we wanted to make it was as enjoyable as possible. In the end they lucked out. It was a relatively warm and bright sunny day. By the third run coats were unzipped and gloves were off.

Stella rode on her own tube down the hill. That's the third child for you! She liked it better than sledding. She didn't have to carry her sled up the hill and there was no snow flying into her eyes.

It took about 15 minutes to do one entire run. Get in line and ride up on your tube for 14 1/2 minutes and then descend in 30 seconds. Yet, they all said it was a lot of fun riding up as it was coming down and that they would do it again.
