Stella went in for her four month check ups last Friday. The pediatrician's office didn't call to remind me and I was busy with so many other things I didn't even think about it until after we returned from our Humphries family vacation.
She is doing great and catching up to the babies born full term. The stats on the picture are hard to read without clicking on the image to enlarge it so here they are again:
Length: 25 inches
Weight: 14 lbs and 7 oz
Head Circumference: 40 inches
Just this week she discovered her tongue. She keeps sticking it our of the top corner her mouth. It is the same expression we make when focusing or working on something hard.
She is holding on to things a lot better and her back is getting stronger. She might be able to sit up on her own soon.
During our vacation she went through a phase of separation anxiety. She wouldn't let anyone else hold her but me. Not even Todd. It was really frustrating because it meant I had to do everything with her or not do it at all. After we got home Todd discovered that her car seat appeases her so whenever I have to leave her and she begins to get loud he puts her in her car seat, walks her around the house and she quiets right down. She has also done a lot better with others since we've been back. I'm guessing that all of the changes she experience on vacation are what made want her mommy so much.
Her hair is starting to grow back. It feels like peach fuzz, short and light in color. He eyes are also beginning to turn brown like her siblings. She is definitely one of the clan.
