Stella is Two Months Old

I took Stella for her two month old check up at her pediatrician on Monday. She weighted 10 lbs 3.5 oz and was 22.5 inches long. She is in the 25th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for length.

Developmentally she is doing great also. She is holding her head up pretty well, makes eye contact and tracks people as they move around the room. She's also started to coo a bit. Today was her best day yet.  She usually only coos once or twice and then stops. Today she went on for quite some time. What I love the most about it is that she has huge smiles whenever she talks.

Her digestive system is still developing. She has been taking medication for her reflux, which has helped immensely. I've also stopped eating dairy and soy products so her spit ups, although frequent are not as painful to her as they used to be. However, I've taken to calling her my little tutu because she toots A LOT! And she's not quiet about it.

I don't remember my other two kids ever having so much gas. The good news is that she doesn't struggle as much as she used to to get it out. The bad news is that they are loud and smell pretty bad. Good thing she's cute or people would refuse to hold her.

I never blogged about Stella's first bath. She didn't care for the sponge baths we gave her when she was first born but loves to the sound of running water and enjoys taking baths. The kids really like holding her in the tub (under very close supervision). My hand was away form her for a second while Todd took the shot but  usually she had a ton of hands on her. Emilia holds Stella on her lap with her hand around her chest while Carson and I lather her up. Then we switch and the kids grab their cups and rinse her off while I hold her. She absolutely loves it.
