The adventure begins

I love road trips even with my little ones. There is nothing better than spending hours of uniterrupted time with my family listening to our favorite music, talking, laughing and admiring the landscape.

This time was no different. Emilia was my little trooper. She did great through it all. Carson only cried once the entire two days we were on the road.

We decided to take the route through Navaho and Hopi nation and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The landscape was breath taking. At times, we didn't see a soul for hours. We had to keep track of our gas to make sure we were going to make it to the next gas station without running out. That is how un-altered those areas are.

My favorite part of the treck was the canyon between Kanaab and Zion's National Park. That has always been my favorite spot in Utah. It was green and luscious with little bed and breakfasts lining up the side of the road.

My other favorite spot in Utah is Gardner's Village. It is a replica of old-town Salt Lake City. Most of the homes are originals and have been retro-fitted as boutique stores that sell beautiful hand-made items.

Here are a few pictures I took today. I'm sure I'll have more to share in the next few weeks. I absolutely love that place.
