Carson Swimming

(I just noticed how my foot looks weird in the photo)

Our family is going to the beach later this summer. To get ready for it we've been playing in the pool almost every day for the last couple of weeks.

It's been fun to see Emilia become less shy in the water. Every day she makes a little more progress. She's no longer afraid of wearing an inflatable around her chest and she jumps into the water without fear. In fact she loves to do a little dance and clap her hands before diving into the water.

She'll start swimming lessons next week. I hope she gains confidence in her ability to get around the pool with an inflatable doughnut without someone holding her hands.

Carson loves the water. There's no surprise there. He has loved his bath from day one and to him the pool is just a bigger bath tub.

You can really see his rolls in this picture. I love how chunky he's getting. It makes me want to eat him all up.
