It's happening.. my kids are growing up and I can't stop it! Today, Emilia turned 12 years old. She is a kind, loving, bright, friendly, cheerful, and talented young lady. I am so blessed to be able to claim her as my daughter.
For her birthday we decorated the lawn to let everyone know of this special event, and took Emilia to dinner to Zuppa, her favorite restaurant. Afterward we came home to open presents and to have cupcakes with ice cream.
On Sunday we gathered at our house with all of Todd's family to celebrate hers and Vernon's birthday. This year she chose a peach dutch oven cobbler for dessert. It was the heaviest birthday cake I've had to carry to date.
