Halloween: Pumpkin Carving & Trick or Treating

Every year Todd's family gets together to carve pumpkins for Halloween. This year we got together on the actual holiday to carve them so the kids were all dressed up to go see grandma and grandpa.  Emilia's owl was the most elaborated of the three we made this year. She worked with grandpa to carve a beautiful owl.

Aunt Shiree helped Stella with her jack o lantern and Carson worked with mom and dad on his. After we got home the kids went out trick or treating in the neighborhood. This year it was Todd's turn to take the kids out with him.

Carson is really into Karate so he decided to dress up as a ninja. Stella was a cute Doc. McStuffin a charater from the Disney cartoon by the same name. Emilia was Maria from the movie Book of Life.

As usual we had a lot of trick-or-treaters come by the house because of our next door neighbor. He goes all out for this holiday and decorates his entire front yard as a ghost town. He even has an old car that he parks out front this time of year.

We have great generous neighbors. The kids just walked up and down the street and came back with a gallon ziplock bag full of candy each. It's been a month since Halloween and the kids are still going through their candy.
