Disney World

This year we celebrated Emilia's fourth birthday at Disney World. If you ever wonder when the best time is to go... it's on some one's birthday. She got a pin on the first day we entered the park that said it was her birthday. Everyone who saw it wished her a happy birthday. Snow White and the genie from Aladin stopped to greet her during the parade, even the Mayor of Magic Kingdom had to say 'Hello'.

Soon after we entered the park we stopped to have breakfast at a bakery on Main Street. The staff was so kind. When they saw the pin they went out back and got a chocolate cookie the size of a cake and gave it to Emilia for her birthday. After that first day she told us 'I like it here. I don't want to go back home'. I don't blame her.

Emilia's favorite experience was to meet Aurora a.k.a. Sleeping Beauty. I was so impressed by the character I met. They really act the part. Mary Poppins was my favorite, with her British accent and her funny observations. A girl in line in front of us was wearing some tie-die shorts. Mary Poppins warned her to be more careful not to mix colors when doing the laundry.

We visited (in order of favorites) Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom.

Emilia took dad on her first driving experience. He was glad she still has 12 years before getting her license.
Carson loved the tea cups and Dumbo ride. My biggest worry was loosing him. He loved to take off running. I used to think that those parents who had kids on leashes just weren't willing to spend the time to teach their kids not to run away but Carson really made me want to buy one. He just didn't care to sit on the stroller.

The rides and shows were amazing. Although I wouldn't go every year, I think our family will have to make another trip when Carson gets a little older so he too can experience the excitement Emilia felt.
