A snake!

Last Tuesday evening Todd was walking out of the garage into our patio when he saw this nasty snake slithering in front of him. The snake was not too big and we figure it was a brown snake (non poisenous) but just to be sure Todd 'took care' of it.

I thought that was the end of the story. Boy was I wrong!
I went to open the garage door this afternoon and lo and behold 'mama snake' is on the other side of the door, a foot away from my feet. I know I should remain calm so the snake would not be scared and bite me but I couldn't help but scream. Luckly snakes don't have hearing (I learned that this weekend).
I picked up Carson by his carseat and Emilia, shut the garage door and ran into the house screaming 'a snake, mamma snake is looking for her baby'. Of course Emilia had to scream those same words after me.
Todd tried to 'take care' of it but he was out too late to catch it. So now I'm on the look out for a nasty black slithering around my back yard. Yuck!
